Purina Institute to host fourth annual Microbiome Forum Virtual Event

The Purina Institute is holding its fourth annual Microbiome Forum Virtual Event on 6th and 7th November from 3pm to 6.30pm each day.


Featuring “globally recognised experts presenting clinically relevant microbiome science in a non-product-promotional setting”, attendees will gain insights into the latest microbiome research and practical applications in veterinary medicine. The event is free to attend and the full programme will provide six hours of CPD for live attendees.



The experts include Dr Jan Suchodolski, Dr Fabio Procoli, Dr Kenneth Simpson and Dr Linda Toresson. Topics include:

• Microbiome-centric approaches to chronic gastrointestinal signs

• Diagnosis and treatment of invasive and luminal Escherichia coli

• Diarrhoea management without antibiotics

• Dietary trials and food-responsive enteropathies

• Microbiome shifts in health and disease

• Tryptophan metabolism and the gut microbiome

• How the microbiome alters drug metabolism
